The music of Canary Complex is inspired by the canvases of Renoir, Monet, Morisot, and Caillebotte: impressionist scenes of mundanity transformed into dreamscapes. As an artist attempts to capture the ephemeral essence of light, scenery is immortalized in a nostalgic haze; frozen in a fleeting moment. Gazing into the canvas, we drift between reality and reverie. It’s the sensation of déjavu, artificial memories, a longing for places we’ve never been. It’s the feeling of falling in love with the muted silhouettes of people who died centuries before we were born.
